Business cards, leaflets, catalogues, roll-ups and packaging. We have been preparing print for our own brands and for clients for years, so the realities of a print shop – CMYK, bleed, prepress – are not a stage we discover at the end.
Where corrections at the printer come from
The wrong colour profile, missing bleed, text too close to the trim line, an image at screen resolution. Those are the four commonest reasons a file comes back. We check them before sending.
The print run changes the design
A hundred business cards are prepared differently from a catalogue running to several thousand copies – finishes, paper stock and binding all affect how the design should look. We agree the print run before design begins.
Print as part of a larger whole
Printed material rarely lives alone. It usually accompanies a website, a presentation or a campaign. We run those areas together, so the business card and the website look like the same company.
Questions and answers
Do you handle the printing, or only the design?
We agree the scope before starting – we can hand the files to your printer or manage the order ourselves.
What about packaging design?
We prepare it from the manufacturer's die line. Without a die line, a packaging design is only a visualisation.
